“Elizabeth helped make all my wedding dress dreams come true! She allowed me to do some difficult alterations and was extremely easy to work with. I was so happy with the result of the dress that I had her make my veil as well and it was exactly how I wanted it. Great place!

“Liz gave me the dream experience.  She designed a custom wedding dress that fit my personality and vision perfectly.  Not only did Liz make me feel special and comfortable, she also provided a relaxed and calming aesthetic in her studio space.  I CANNOT recommend Liz enough.  Speaking as a woman with some curves and shapes she designed a beautiful and flattering wedding dress that I didn’t even know was possible!”

“Can I give Elizabeth Crum Bridal more than 5 stars, please?  Because my experience working with the uber-talented Liz Crum was perfect.  I first heard about Liz and her company after attending one of her bridal shows.  The show was held at the Conrad-Caldwell house in Old Louisville and there was something undeniably special and ethereal about the line she created especially for that show; the dresses were elegant, glamorous and just the right amount of sweet. Her ability to harmonize the dresses with the space didn’t go unnoticed. As soon as I left the show I went home and wrote to Liz. I hoped that she could create a one-of-a-kind reception dress for me and incorporate our space (the Seelbach’s Rathskeller) into my dress, too. And boy did she ever. We met over several cups of coffee to discuss ideas and Liz was more than open to my ideas, she requested them. As an archivist I am obsessed with the record and history of things, so Liz not only let me keep her sketches but she also passed along the fabric samples for my files. I should also mention how cool Liz was about budget. From the start we discussed what I could afford and we worked within those limits. Liz’s understanding of form, lines, fabric and how they will all work together when on the body is spot on. I can’t tell you how comfortable I felt in my gown—and around Liz. It was truly perfect. Not only did Liz create a dress just for me, she also crafted the most luxurious veil for my wedding day. Liz isn’t *just* a dress maker. She is an artist. Her ability to work with lace and tulle was out of this world. Am I gushing? Yes, I am. Because the product is that good.”

“Working with Elizabeth was a completely stress free experience in a situation where many brides feel the most stress.  I came to her with a vision and a budget and she exceeded my every expectation!  She listened to my ideas but also helped guide me through the process with her knowledge and creativity.  She incorporated a tree ring design in the bodice which was a dream come true- she was even able to incorporate parts from my Mother’s and Grandmother’s wedding gowns.  She helped me stay true to my simple style while at the same time creating a very intricate dress with superb craftsmanship. Not to mention she’s a super nice gal to boot! It was an all around great experience.”

“I wanted a dress that would move and breathe and mainly be comfortable. I think you can’t possibly enjoy yourself anywhere if you are uncomfortable.  Nothing against mass produced gowns, but I like every bride wanted to feel beautiful, and having a dress that was made specifically for my body allowed me to show or hide what I considered my best or worse features.  I’m also a bit eccentric and wanted a dress that was as eccentric as I am and able to be worn again.

My dress was created from a silk mantilla from Spain, my mother’s hand embroidered honeymoon dress from Mexico, and her wedding dress.  The honeymoon dress I had admired since I was a little girl but had always been too pudgy to wear.  When I got engaged it was the first dress I thought of, and with Liz and her talent and attention to detail she was able to incorporate almost every inch of fabric from that dress into my wedding dress.  It was such an amazing process.  Liz took three garments that should not have gone together and created the most exquisite heirloom dress with a nod to my cultural heritage.”

“As visual artists, it was important to my husband Rudy and me to have a wedding celebration that embraced as many unique and handmade elements as we possibly could. Elizabeth played a crucial role in this process – with her innovative style and high level of expertise in materials and techniques, Liz envisioned possibilities for a bridal gown design I didn’t see – or even begin to imagine – in commercial bridal shops. Comfort, flexibility, and movement were big priorities for me, and my wedding dress remains one of the most comfortable (and beautiful!) dresses that I’ve ever had the pleasure of wearing. It was a joy to wear an original work of art on this important day, and Liz made every step of the process feel personal and special. She listened closely to my ideas and concerns, and came back with a proposal that exceeded my expectations and was a reflection of just how well she listened and got to know what I was thinking about. She is my sister and best friend, so she may have come in with a good sense of my aesthetic interests, but I know nothing about clothes – or how to describe them – so I needed a lot of help understanding the possibilities within the particular materials she was thinking about. She was patient and walked me through her creative process, and translated my priorities into a dress that I could never have found anywhere else.”
